– Fri, Oct 01, 2021 at 10:23:55 PM
We have just a quick update for today, to let you know that backer kits are on the way! We’re just finalizing a few things, but you should be receiving an email in the coming days once that is up and operational. We’ve got some exciting Infinity-related items that we look forward to showing you, so keep your eyes open!
In addition, for anyone looking for more modern Game Boy games, our friends at Greenboy Games are launching their own Kickstarter campaign for The Shapeshifter 2 today! There’s a chance some of our backers might have also supported the original when it was on Kickstarter, so if you are looking to get your hands on the sequel, their campaign runs until November 30th, so check it out! There’s even an Incube8 related cameo…
We’ll see everyone in a few days when the backer kit goes live!
Nintendo Switch Port Stretch Goal Unlocked!
– Sat, Sep 18, 2021 at 02:23:49 AM
Just in the nick of time, on the very last day of the campaign, the Infinity Kickstarter hits $350,000! With that, the campaign ends with a bang as the final stretch goal is unlocked, bringing an enhanced version of Infinity to the Nintendo Switch, in addition to enhancing the already unlocked Steam version! This enhanced version won’t be a simple one-to-one port from the Game Boy Color to the Switch; we hope to be able to utilize the improved hardware of the Switch in order to offer a few small but important quality improvements, such as modern aspect ratios and improved audio!
We’d like to thank the over 3200 backers who have allowed us to reach this huge milestone to close out this campaign. We look forward to bringing Infinity to all of you, on Game Boy Color, Steam, and Nintendo Switch!
Thank You for a Successful Campaign!

The Infinity Kickstarter has come to a close with a bang, as 3458 backers have come together to help us in raising $370,823.04! We want to thank everyone who has helped make this Kickstarter as successful as it has been; it’s incredible how much support has been given to this twenty year old game! So, we’re sure the natural question now is: what’s next?
The big question on a lot of people’s minds right now is likely backer kits. We are going to spend a little time setting up all the information and details for these backer kits, and we expect these add-ons to be available in the first week of October. For anyone who pledged for a tier that has access to the Discord server, we plan to have that operational in about a month, so keep an eye out for further information regarding accessing the Discord server.
Looking further into the future, the Game Boy Color version will be the first to be released, as while the two will be worked on in parallel, the GBC version will be the foundation for the enhanced versions on Steam and Switch. To avoid any unnecessary delays for those who are eager to experience Infinity, we will start fulfilling pledges once the GBC version is ready to go, and Steam keys for the enhanced version, as well as the release of the Switch version, will follow shortly afterwards once we have “enhanced” them. Unfortunately, due to how the Switch storefront operates, it isn’t financially viable for us to offer free Switch keys in the same way we offer Steam keys, but we anticipate that Infinity will be available on the eShop around the same time the Steam keys go out.
We’d also like to remind everyone to check their payment options if you haven’t been charged. If Kickstarter is unable to process your payment, we won’t be able to process your pledge, and you’ll lose out on any of the backer exclusives you’ve pledged for!
Finally, if you’re looking for more great games to enjoy on these retro consoles, we recommend taking a peak at Goodboy Galaxy, an adventure platformer being developed for the GBA (as well as enhanced versions for Steam and Switch). We’re certainly not alone in wanting to bring new great games to these older consoles, so we recommend checking it out!
If you’re looking for more games from us, check out our website! We’ve currently got The Year After on pre-order until October 18th, which you can check out here!
An Interview with Infinity's Creators

As you know, Infinity has over twenty years worth of history behind it, from development starting back in 1999, to this Kickstarter today in 2021. While we are honoured to be a part of this long history, the truth remains that we are just that: a part of it.
So, why not get to know more about this history from some of the people who have been there since the beginning! Mathew, Eric, Justin, and Hideaki sat down back in June to discuss Infinity - the development, the music, the search for a publisher, and more - in anticipation of the long journey that brought the project to Kickstarter as you see it today.
If you’re curious to gain a little more insight on Infinity, be sure to check out the entire video, which you will be able to find below, as well as on the main campaign page!
$300,000 + a Switch Port Stretch Goal!
– Wed, Sep 08, 2021 at 02:06:20 AM
It’s an exciting day, as Infinity hits a big milestone with $300,000 pledged! We certainly never expected to reach this level, and seeing over 2600 people who are interested enough in Infinity to provide a pledge is incredible. Thank you to all of our backers for your amazing support, and for helping make this campaign a success!
With that said, there’s still a little more than a week left, and we did tease a big final stretch goal in our last update. We’ve read your comments, and we’ve been hard at work looking to see what’s possible. Now, we are happy to be able to announce that at $350,000, Infinity will be getting an enhanced version for the Nintendo Switch! What we mean by enhanced, is that it won’t be a simple one-to-one port from the Game Boy Color to the Switch; we hope to be able to utilize the improved hardware of the Switch in order to offer a few small but important quality improvements, such as modern aspect ratios and improved audio. Even better, this stretch goal also stands to benefit a previously unlocked stretch goal as well, as the development done to enhance Infinity for the Switch will also allow us to make similar improvements on the Steam port!
Thank you once more for all your support, as we enter the last leg of this campaign. There’s still a few days left to bring Infinity to the Switch, so good luck!
